That won't hide you. You obviously don't know how close I am.

With its phasing armor on, Counselor cannot likely be detected by the aggressors' instruments. The biggest threat of detection would be from line-of-sight means, such as actual video. Nolan's dolls were doubtless being detected, but as they rely tactically on radar and sensors, they post little threat to seeing whatever the enemy is trying to mask. They, doubtless, trust their instruments when they say that there are no manned mechsuits near enough to pinpoint the origin of the cannonfire. Nolan, however, is only a few kliks away.

Command, this is acting lieutenant Xanderspade. I'm witnessing some sort of random cannonfire coming from approximately 4 kliks north by northwest of my position. I'm unsure of that estimation, as the cannonfire has disrupted radar. I believe it to me... yeah..

*I pause for a moment as I witness a speck heading out and up from the cannonfire epicenter's position.*

Yeah.. it's masking fire. I see some sort of vessel heading out. For orbit, I think. I'm unsure though. Recommend sending some of us up far enough that we can detect it.

A fuzzy response from base returns.. though they are clearly unable to encript with the current disturbance. Expectedly, they keep their response brief.

Well that was cryptic. They clearly don't want the enemy to hear. Perhaps they have better detection equipment than I suspect.

*the ground suddenly shakes violently and the surroundings begin to rise up around the cockpit, Nemesis looks out over the edge and see's that he has actually landed on a carefully disguised lift platform that is now lowering into the ground. In a few seconds the cockpit passes the edge and a roof begins to slide out and closes over Jehutys head. Lights on the wall flash on to repel the sudden darkness and then in a final jolt the lift hits new ground.
Nemesis climbs out of the cockpit and drops down to be met by Vince and the two cloaked figures flanking him once again*

Vince: Welcome back to the Warren.
Nem: I have more suits back on the surface, they will be in danger-
Vince: Don't worry about it, their captain has been in contact with me since he told you hed found this place, the lot of them have been brought down on other hidden lifts over the last half an hour. Their nice suits.
Anyway it seems that its time to get some real action going, we've tip-toed our way around this place for to long. Follow me mister, what did you say your name was?

Although many dolls were lost they can be easily replaced but people cannot. As one of the most senior pilots of the squad I hae choseb you to accept the award for your squad. It will be a national event being broadcast around the world to show your bravery.

Picking up his glass of wine then putting it back down Bhaal continues

Well now that we have the technicalities out of the way is there anything that you would like to talk to me about? It could be anything you want even if it's got nothing to do with the ceremony.

We have what? maybe a thousand or so old battered up piles of junk. I'm not saying we wouldnt win but we would suffer such losses we wouldnt be able to keep up the fight. Add onto that the fact most of theirs are automated. We would be losing a valuable person with every suit we lost.

Vince: You said you were taken down against six of them earlier, what makes you suddenly Mr invincible
Nem: I have learnt from the experience, so has jehuty. And anyway i do have a squad of valkyries with me. And vince dont you tell me you dont have a special suit of your own somewhere in here.

An honor guard of 10 aeriel Virgos stood proudly behind two powerfull Serpent class mobile suits. Between the two serpents stood the King of all those under the warren, a red Gundam.*

Vince: My suit, the Gundam Heavyarms. I found it 10 years ago, jettisoned here in the crash remains of some space pod. There wasnt a scratch o this baby though.
Nemesis:Things continue to look up. I need to return to jehuty. It's time for a plan.

ADA: Jehuty is fully prepped for battle but do not engage with such eagerness this time, i have no programming to care for myself but as i have said before i have learnt the value of life. Do be more carefull.
Nem: Thankyou for your concern but don't go tell-
ADA: -The Lady also wished me to ask you to be carefull
Nem: ...I'll try. Ok ADA, patch me over to Vince's comlink again.

Vince: Yes?

Nem: We need a landing pad to get full ground reinforcements, I have word that shuttles are prepped and ready to leave as soon as i can inform them we have a secured spaceport.

Vince: The nearest target would Be the Military base not to far from here. No doubt its pretty much unguarded at the moment what with a couple of hundred dolls around the moutains looking for you.

Nem: Do you have any exits that will get us out of here without these troops noticing

Vince: We do have one on the side near to the base, at the edge of the mountain, We have around 250 suits in a hangar there along with the barracks for the pilots. We could get them all up and ready to go within two hours, it would take a few minutes to dispatch the whole lot though so there would be a large interval at which the entrance could be discovered.

Nem: Im sure a distraction can be organised to keep the enemey from that place for a while.

Vince: We have 3 other hangars spread out each with a further 250 suits approx. We could let out the fast responce troops from each of those 3 hangars to cause some trouble.

Nem: Ok In one and a half hours dispatch the fast response troops, as soon as the main attacking force is ready release them towards the base:

Vince: And what will you be up to?

Nem: I'll be out there helping to cause a distraction, along with my valkyrie squad. What will you be up to?

Vince: Hah! you dont think i'll be avoiding a good fight do you? I'll be out there leading the mainstay to attack the base. It's been a while since ive taken Heavyarms into a full battle.

*vince indicates to the two cloaked figures*

Vince: Sasha and leanne here will be right by my side in their serpents and the rest of my bodyguard unit willbe right behind us.

Nem: Well let the preperations begin. ADA patch me through to one of the shuttles ready, Tor's probably busy.
ADA: Link connected
Nem: Hello, is wing commander Shadow there? Inform everybody that you are to leave in 90 minutes for the location i am sending you. And foward this message to lady tor when you can.

One and a half hours later..

Jehuty has been moved to one of the main suit hangars and has been assigned to lead the 2nd Fast response unit. While there the valyrie squad have been reunited with Nemesis and are also joined to the unit.
In all 27 suits are now being dispatched from this hangar along with 20 suits from the two other hangars

*Jehuty stands flanked by the valk squad and amoungst the rest of the 2nd Fast response unit, Known as 'Second Storm' to those of the resistance group. The walls of the hangar slowly slip away as the massive hydraulic lift supporting the mobile suits begins to rise. After what seems an age the ceiling above the lift slides sideways and sunlight streams down upon the raising Suits*

Nem: Vince we have left the building. My suit picks up hostiles close by.

Vince: Right, soon as I see those suits converging upon you and the other decoys i'll head out. All suits are prepped and ready to go

Nem: Maybe in a few hours i'll see you again, maybe one of us won't get through this. Good luck.

Vince: Ditto, For Brahe

*Nemesis keys off the link and then watches as the hangars walls vanish altogether as the lift breaks past the surface.*

Nem: ADA can you set a link to the whole unit
ADA : Link established

Nem: Everybody follow me, engage upon sight

*Nemesis raises jehuty airborne and sets off towards the nearest Hostiles on radar*

We are re-enlisting many of the former soldiers into the garrisons to deal with this threat but if you would like to request one specifically to fight alongside you then I would see no problem with that at all. What garrison is or was he or she in and what's their name? I shall have them brought to you as soon as possible. Probably after the ceremony tommorow. I have an idea. Why dont you use that computer over there Bhaal points to one of the computers inlaid in the desk and search for them on our data base so I can find out more about him

((Whoever the new person is can you IM me or PM me with your characters details so I can integrate you into the story better. If Raz reads this first can you tell him when he gets online. Thanks ))

ADA: The alarm has been sent out, hostiles approaching from all directions. You will have at least 30 targets within the next 2minutes. Other Hostiles are closing in upon the 1st and 3rd Fast response units.
Nem: OK, that means Vince will be on his way to capture that base. He's got 250 suits with him. With the amount of suits attacking here the base can't have more than 50 dolls left as a guard. He can do it.

*As I head away from the enemy facility to my rear, I begin picking up video transmission from my Virgo group. Images of smoke fills the monitors.*

If they weren't all still transmitting, I'd think they were dead.

*As some of the smoke clears, images of several Aeries can be seen, firing down from a ridge to a valley that probably hosted several friendly automated Virgo suits. I give the command for them to approach the group until they're in firing range, at which time they are to seek cover and stay evasive as they fire on the enemy at maximum distance. Hopefully, that will give me time to get there while I still have some mechs to take my wing.

*Hopefully, base will have sent the majority of our forces for this sector to aid in the battle. The enemy has clearly come out to defend an important part of its operation. But once Bhaal's Brahe forces know the location of an enemy.. that enemy is finished.

*Counselor lifts off the ground by its boot and back-mounted thrusters and speeds off toward the area of conflict. From the air I see another nearby battle taking place.*

'Better to fly to where my wingmechs are.' I think to myself, 'But I must keep in mind that there could be more battle to be fought directly after this one. It will be necessary to keep losses to a minimum.'

*I see a slender, but clearly poweful enemy suit below as it takes out three friendly Virgo mobile dolls.*

I'll have to watch out for that one..

*I fly to the ridge that my supporting Virgos are firing at. A mere two enemy fighters had been killed by my team thus far. I know my Virgos aren't bad shots either, as they have fairly decent beam rifles equipped. The enemy must be manned. And talented.

*Nevertheless, I land between two of them, kicking one to the side as I do so and shoving my charged gauntlet blade into the torso of the other. The other arises from where it fell and fires at me, but I turn sideways to lower my profile while dodging the blast. I draw my pistol with lightning speed and fire two shots which land squarely in the enemy's face. I walk over to it and kick it firmly in the the back, smashing through vital power conduits and rendering it dead. I scan my surroundings for threats before returning my attention to the other to make sure it is dead. It isn't. It swings a beam sword at me in a downward diagonal slice.

*It doesn't manage to strike me, however, as I redirect my support Virgos, which have had a chance to get close by while I distracted the ridge forces, to attack my closest aggressor. Two yellow beams converge on the enemy suit, tearing it to shreds before it can land a hit on me.*

Stupidity. Most of this enemy force is manned mobile suits.. Why waste your life to overthrow a perfectly good government to place disgruntled, corrupt dictators in power? Alas.. They've made their choice.

*I begin moving quickly toward the other enemies on the ridge. Once they are clear, I'll have a chance to fire some heavy weapons down on areas heavily populated by the enemy. No harm in destroying friendly craft if they are unmanned and the destruction to the enemy is warranted. Brahe can afford to lose a few automated dolls.*

As he passes he triggers jehutys standard Pistol and unleashes a volley of blue energy bolts, The old style armour upon the leo's melts away behind the shots. However due to the superior reaction times of the dolls the furthest leo manages to stumble sideways and only receives a shot to an arm. It raises its weapon and blasts jehuty.
jehuty jolts fractionly but the armour holds easily and Nemesis swings jehuty in a wide arc to swoop back and decapitate the leo*

Nem: Hah, bring back the virgo's. These aftifacts don't deserve to fight me.

ADA: Sustaining more friendly losses, 70% of encounters are going in the enemies favour. One manned suit in particular is successfull in enliminating ours. I have indicated the target on screen.

*Nemesis checks the monitor and see's a target a few hundred metres north east of his position.*

Nem: He's mine. ADA, signal the suit to all friendlys, tell them to avoid it and engage the dolls.

*Nemesis heads off towards the suit, taking a couple of stray virgos out en-route*

Meanwhile Vince in the heavy arms and his honor guard followed by the 250 suits from his hangar crosses the area to the spaceport unchallenged, Finally the buildings come into view and the force spans outwards and strides towards the base laying down a blanket of fire at the nearest Enemy

Sir we believe that it was one of the rebel groups situated in the mountains. We have detected a secret tunnel outside the perimeter and we think thats where they are coming from

Well inform the troops out there of it and have them shut it down we don't want more troops coming after us. Were hard pressed as it is.

I have also had reports sir that the enemy carrier may be preparing to launch shuttles at us. I have had the troops in the mountains spread out. Anything that does try to land near us will be destroyed before it lands

With that the soldier left to work on gathering more reports and closing up the exit

Advanging towards the enemy formation with their sheilds up the Virgo's protect the Leo's behind they advance with the majority of the enemy gunfire bouncing off the sheilds but some getting though and hitting some of the Virgo's and Leo's behind. Once the formation reaches within 500m of the enemies the Virgo's let rip.

Nobody's been alerted. What's that? That suit, it's special, hmm, it has an unusal attack pattern differing from that of the dolls i remember. It must be a human. Not even he knows we are back here. *presses some buttons and another two emp rockets are fired at Rey's suit* That one doesen't seem to be too experianced. They should hit him and help nem over there. Hmm, those are some nice ridges up there, high ground, always has been the better ground. Ok, let's start off with some long range weapons, defensive fighting until my go is givin. *fires a large laser blast into the base, taking out a building with the blast. But draining his laser for a short amount of time (think, the laser spike has on the swordfish in CB)* Ok, all dolls, take it to em! *the dolls move in sync towards the base using long range weapons for the time, a few enemy suits are taken out as they head towards the force. But mostly, the bases infrastructure is under attack now* Need to talk to nem. *makes a com link to nem* Nem, how you fairing over there? I just landing and am assualting the base directly from a long range. They should revert some forces over here. We are flanking them, this is a small base, i assume no highly experianced command. The kids should be confused for a while. ((before joining the revolution, Shadow was in school for military tactics. So he's had his fair share of fighting, and was prepping for officers rank))

Sir. More suits have landed from thos shuttles I told you about and have landed from behind out main line but the troops that were taken from the lines in the mountains are converging on them now and our artillery shells have them held down for now. Looks like they weren't expecting such a quick responce. Laughs

With the rebels round the front of the base being held up although still easily holding thier own the commander settles down into his chair and begins contemplating the next move

Moving up round the side of the base the new mobile dolls begin taking up defensive possitions in the ready dug trenches near the base leaving the artillery to fire overhead as they unleash sporadic volleys of fire towards the new enemy.

Low ranking officer on carrier: Ok, give us about 2 minutes, and you should have no more artillery fireing on you. Target enough missles on the artillery. They need help.

Shadow: Good, now i will just pick off some guys till the artillery's gone. They probably have shields, so the dolls will just have to beat away. But I...*uses his saber to cut an opening in the rock he's behind and he sticks his laser in the rock, almost like a natural turret. he uses his rader to aim the laser for groups of enemy suits and moves the laser accordingly. He then fires on a group of ten* Come on, fire those missles. *looks at timer. it reads 1:20 till launch* Damnit, they are hitting us too hard with those shells. *3 seperate dolls are taken out by artillery fire*

With the base now more prepared for the enemy assault the artillery cannons keep on shooting out towards the enemy at the rear of the base but the other group has been left alone by them because of the close proximity of the dolls.

Moving forwards towards the group of enemy troops the Virgo's begin to fire accuratly at the enemy but due to the colse proximity more of the enemy fire begins to get through their line of shields damaging more of them and the Leos behind.

With the Artillery still firing the Virgo's assualting the rebels at the rear stayed down under cover no longer using thier beam rifles which had little effect at such distance
